Bet on the German Bundesliga with Bitcoin
The German Bundesliga returns on August 18th, 2023.
Champions Bayern Munich cruised to their 11th consecutive Bundesliga title last season after an 89th-minute winner from bright star Jamal ‘Bambi’ Musiala, snatching the Meisterschale away from Borussia Dortmund once again. With former Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane as the hottest - most dramatic - new addition to the Bayern lineup, is another record-breaking title assured for the Bavarians?

The German Bundesliga starts August 18th, with Bayern Munich pegged to win their 12th consecutive title.
The German Bundesliga 23/24 season
For Bayern, Bundesliga 2023/2024 could be their 12th title. This month also means a historic milestone for the Bundesliga, as the top flight celebrates its 60th anniversary on August 24th.
Darmstadt 98 and FC Heidenheim were promoted to the Bundesliga after finishing first and second in the second tier last season, earning immediate elevation to Germany’s top-flight league. It’ll be Heidenheim’s first-ever Bundesliga campaign, with the 177-year-old club banking on their top forward Tim Kleindienst. For Darmstadt, it’ll be a return to the league after a six-year absence.
Bundesliga 23/24 season lineups
There have been some interesting new signings in the run-up to this season of the Bundesliga. Here’s who to watch:
- Harry Kane leaves his boyhood club Tottenham Hotspurs for Bayern Munich after a ‘rollercoaster’ summer of negotiations between Daniel Levy and Jan-Christian Dreesen. The 30-year-old striker is excited to be playing at the ‘highest level’ with the Bavarians, particularly with their Champions League potential.
- Raphael Guerreiro has moved from Borussia Dortmund to Bayern Munich for €30M.
- Naby Keita joins Werder Bremen. A free transfer from Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Keita will likely push to get fit and return to his fighting best after dealing with multiple injuries on English soil.
- Benjamin Sesko joins RB Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg. The 20-year-old all-round striker has already made a name for himself as a top goal scorer and will likely prove a lethal addition to RB Leipzig’s attack.
German Bundesliga 23/24: Key teams

Bayern Munich are again the heavy favorites to reclaim the league for a record 12th time in a row. If you fancy an ‘outsider’ bet, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, and Union Berlin, who finished in the top four for the first time last season, are in with a decent shout.
- Bayern Munich: (1.16, -622 betting odds - favorite)
Bayern Munich remains one of the titans of world football, which shows in their betting line.
Germany’s most successful football club now has Harry Kane in its lineup. The new signing was unveiled in mid-August. Center-back Min-jae Kim also joins from SSC Napoli, Konrad Laimer is transferred from RB Leipzig, and Malik Tillman has his contract extended to 2026.
- Borussia Dortmund: (7.37, +637 betting odds – second favorite)
Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund will likely be Bayern’s main threat this year. They had a dramatic final day last season with a loss to Bayern on goal difference, thanks to Jamal Musaila’s last-minute winner.
Unfortunately, Dortmund hasn’t managed to hold on to England international Jude Bellingham, who transferred to Real Madrid for €103M transfer. The central midfielder had spent the last three years with Borussia Dortmund.
On the bright side, new signing Felix Nmecha, who joined the club from competitor Wolfsburg, has received high praise from manager Edin Terzic. Dortmund also added Marcel Sabitzer, Ole Pohlmann, and Ramy Bensebaini to the mix during a busy transfer window.
- RB Leipzig: (10.7, +976 betting odds – third favorite)
RB Leipzig, one of the Bundesliga's most ambitious clubs, is primed for a title challenge in 2023. Their squad, a blend of youth and experience, is fortified with new signings, including defender Castello Lukeba and midfielder Xavi Simons.
Leipzig also dampened Harry Kane’s Bayern debut at the German Super Cup final. The Red Bulls earned their first-ever DFL Supercup title with a mesmerizing 3-0 win, all courtesy of Spaniard Dani Olmo. The hat-trick hero may be one to watch for the rest of the season.
Key players: Top goalscorers
- Sébastian Haller (8.98, +789 betting odds - top goalscorer)
A key player for Borussia Dortmund in the 2023/24 season, Haller will be paramount to Borussia Dortmund’s climb up the Bundesliga. In 2022, the striker was diagnosed with testicular cancer but fully recovered for the rest of the season in January 2023.
- Serge Gnabry (9.98, +898 betting odds - top goalscorer)
He’s not for sale! Although the talented winger has been linked with a move away from Bayern Munich, the final word is that he’s here to stay. Gnabry tallied 17 goals and 12 assists over 47 appearances across competitions, with five of those goals scored during Bayern’s final six matches during last season’s Bundesliga.
- Randal Muani (10.9, +998 betting odds - top goalscorer)
Considered one of the rising stars of the Bundesliga, Eintracht Frankfurt’s striker Randal Muani had been getting all the attention during the summer transfer window. From West Ham to PSG to Real Madrid, it seems like everyone wants a piece of the 24-year-old forward.

Talented youngsters to watch
As you would expect from the Bundesliga, some of world football's most exciting young players will light up the division this season.
- Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich)
Perhaps some of us forget the marksman is still only 20 and has only just entered his fourth season at Bayern Munich. Even so, after sealing Bayern’s Bundesliga title in 2022/23 with his famous last-minute goal, Musiala is an undisputed pro.
- Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig)
RB Leipzig’s new signing has already made waves as an attacking midfielder for Ligue 1’s Paris Saint-Germain and the Netherlands U21 team.
- Mathys Tel (Bayern Munich)
Is this the next Kylian Mbappé? The 18-year-old striker was Bayern Munich’s youngest-ever Bundesliga scorer in the DFB Cup first round last year (when he was 17). With five goals in his 22 Bundesliga appearances last season, is the French U19 ready for more?
- Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (Borussia Dortmund)
The London native has been called the long-awaited successor to Jadon Sancho, having also moved from Manchester City to Borussia Dortmund.
