Arcane Gems plays out inside the mysterious jewelry box on the desk of what we must assume is an old school explorer/adventurer. The Mediterranean sea chart certainly looks ancient enough to be from the 1800s, and so does the navigation equipment next to the treasure box. Quickspin has in no way invented the wheel with this game (or should we say “the reel”), but it has a few interesting features that combine well, although it could have been even better with a real bonus round to top it all off.
