After a thorough review, we have taken the difficult decision to end support for Terra Classic tokens (USTC and LUNC) on Cloudbet. Deposits in USTC and LUNC have already been disabled, and the last day for withdrawal will be June 1, 2023.
As members — and staunch supporters — of the crypto community, it has been a longstanding goal of ours to expand the roster of currencies players can use on Cloudbet. Since 2013, that list has grown from one (BTC) to over 40 listed tokens, and we’re always looking to support more.
Unfortunately, the Terra Classic ecosystem is no longer reliable enough to meet the high standards Cloudbet players expect from us. Terra Classic’s public node infrastructure is mired in unpredictable downtimes and rapidly fluctuating fees, and its governance mechanisms are not working well enough to solve these issues with necessary upgrades. As these network downtimes and fees affect players’ ability to properly manage their funds on Cloudbet, we have no choice but to delist the tokens.
Cloudbet players with USTC and LUNC deposited on site will be contacted separately to remind them to withdraw those funds as soon as possible, and our customer service team is standing by to help.
Everyone else can keep depositing and playing with their favorite coins as usual.
Cloudbet has been around for a relatively long time, but these are still early days in crypto, and we can’t wait to see what the community comes up with — and we all build together — next.
