How to auto-place large bets with Whale Mode

Learn how Cloudbet's Whale Mode feature auto-places large sports bets on eligible pre-match markets.

Updated yesterday

Cloudbet's Whale Mode helps you place large sports bets automatically. Instead of hitting the max stake cap, Whale Mode breaks your total amount into multiple smaller ones until your full target amount is placed.

The feature is currently available on the mobile version of the site. It'll be available on desktop soon.

Why use Whale Mode

Whale Mode is ideal if:

  • Your target stake amount is higher than the maximum allowed for a single bet

  • You want to build up a large position gradually

  • You want bets to place automatically as long as the odds stay above your chosen minimum

How Whale Mode works

Once Whale Mode starts, it will automatically place bets one after another using the current market odds for each bet. It’ll continue to place bets until your full target stake is placed or if you stop it manually.

What sports are eligible for Whale Mode?

Whale Mode is available for:

  • Single bets (no parlays or same game parlays)

  • Certain pre-match markets (not live or in-play betting)

Whale Mode example

Let’s say a market allows a maximum bet of $5,000, but you want to make a bet of $20,000.

Instead of placing four separate bets manually, Whale Mode automatically places multiple bets up to the bet limit each time, until your full $20,000 target is reached.

How to access Whale Mode

Before you use Whale Mode, make sure to enable Early Access in your settings.

  1. On the mobile version of the sports site, select a sport or match.

  2. In Quick Bet, tap Start Whale Mode.

  3. Enter a bet amount bigger than the max bet.

  4. Adjust your minimum odds. (Whale Mode will only place bets if the odds are at or above your minimum threshold.)

  5. Tap Start Whale Mode.

  6. Wait while the system builds your position.

You’ll see a “Completed” message once it’s done. All the bets placed will appear in My Bets.
